Redondo Beach

Redondo Beach is known for its carefree coastal atmosphere, vibrant commercial harbor, scenic pier, and some of the best surfing in the country. Beach volleyball, biking, sailing, fishing, and paddleboarding are some of the local popular outdoor activities. While endless dining and shopping opportunities await including the Riviera Village, a unique beach-side hub for fashion and art, charming boutiques, home décor, and a delicious restaurant scene. With a population of about 67,000, the city is made up of two main areas namely South and North Redondo. In terms of real estate, South Redondo tends to be a bit pricier due to its proximity to the water. Located north of 190th Street, North Redondo is the inland section and while primarily residential, it also houses some of the city’s significant commercial areas including several aerospace and engineering firms that are part of Southern California’s long space legacy. The public schools in Redondo Beach are among the finest “distinguished schools” in the country. The city is also home to two public libraries, a renowned performing arts center, a 1,500-slip private craft port, and fifteen public parks. Many fun events take place in Redondo Beach throughout the year including the BeachLife Festival, the annual Super Bowl 10K, and a Classic Car Show.
